“It is possible to measure without observing.” That was the clear message from VizioSense CEO and Co-founder Maxime Schacht during his recent appearance on BFM Business, where he spoke about our mission to bring ethical AI to urban mobility without compromising privacy.
Privacy-First Technology
Maxime explained how VizioSense ensures full GDPR compliance by processing all data locally, directly on a powerful AI chip embedded in our sensors. Unlike systems that send video streams to external servers — risking data exposure — our solution never stores or transmits images, meaning nobody ever sees them.
This approach guarantees privacy while still delivering advanced detection capabilities. For example, our sensors can monitor up to 1,000 people within a 50–100 meter range in spaces like train stations, counting entries and exits anonymously, or tracking crowd density in busy areas.
From Public Spaces to Logistics Hubs
VizioSense technology serves both public sector and private sector needs, from Smart City deployments to logistics yards. Maxime highlighted that our main customers are integrators and installers, offering them a new, privacy-respecting alternative to traditional cameras.
Smarter Parking Solutions
One highlight of the interview was our VizioPark application. Instead of relying on outdated magnetic ground sensors, we install our AI-powered optical sensors on lighting poles between 4 and 10 meters high, each monitoring up to 20 parking spaces.
These sensors integrate seamlessly with existing dynamic signage systems (LED panels) to show drivers, in real time, how many spaces are available, reducing traffic congestion, saving time, and cutting emissions.
Looking Ahead
As Maxime emphasized, VizioSense is more than a technology provider: we are part of a movement to make urban mobility smarter, safer, and more sustainable, all while respecting the fundamental right to privacy.
We are proud to see our mission recognized on national media, and we remain committed to developing AI that serves people, not the other way around.
