At VizioSense, we believe that the future of mobility lies in smart, ethical, and privacy-respecting technologies. Since our founding in Lille in 2022, our mission has been clear: to help cities, infrastructure operators, and large organizations understand mobility flows without resorting to intrusive video surveillance.
Today, we are proud to announce that VizioSense has raised €2.7 million to accelerate our expansion across Europe and strengthen our commercial presence in the Middle East.
Backed by Leading Investors
This second round of funding was led by Alacrité, a start-up studio and early-stage fund that has supported us since our first fundraising in 2023 (€1.4M). Other renowned investors have joined this round, including Wesley Clover International (founded by Sir Terry Matthews), BeAngels, and experienced business angels such as Yung Kim, former President of Korea Telecom.
Their support reflects a shared conviction: it is possible to measure without observing, to innovate without infringing on privacy.
Technology Designed for Smart Cities
Our compact optical sensor counts vehicles, bicycles, trucks and pedestrians in real time without capturing or storing images. Powered by embedded AI and edge computing, our solution processes data locally — ensuring full GDPR compliance and alignment with CNIL recommendations.
Already deployed in 17 countries, VizioSense solutions are helping cities and organizations optimize space and improve mobility management.
A Sovereign and Ethical Approach to AI
Designed and produced in Lille, our technology is developed with sovereignty, sustainability, and ethics in mind. We believe in ethical AI that serves communities without overstepping privacy boundaries. As our CEO & Co-founder Maxime Schacht explains:
“What the smartphone did for telecommunications, we want to do for mobility: a compact, economical, intelligent, local tool that respects privacy. In a world surrounded by sensors, we believe it is possible to measure without observing. Ethical AI for mobility is not just possible — it’s the future.”
Scaling for International Growth
With this new funding, we aim for profitability by 2026 and will be recruiting a dedicated sales team in Western and Eastern Europe, as well as the Middle East. This expansion will allow us to serve more cities, retailers, and infrastructure operators who value both innovation and individual rights.
We thank our investors, partners, and clients for believing in our mission. The journey to shape the future of smart cities — with technology that is accurate, efficient, and privacy-first — has only just begun.
