Junior Research Scientist in Computer Vision and Deep Learning

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated and team-oriented Research Scientist in 3D CV and Deep Learning

What You’ll Do

As a part of our VizioSense AI Lab and under the direct supervision of our CTO and Chief Scientist, you will be responsible for producing cutting-edge solutions for 3D CV and AI on the Edge to drive the innovation strategy of VizioSense. This includes the following primary responsibilities:

  • Leverage cutting-edge technologies to improve product features and help develop novel business use cases at the bleeding edge.

  • Push the boundaries of current state-of-the-art when and where necessary, by publishing academic papers and patents, attending tech and scientific events and being an actor of the international outreach of the Vizio AI lab and VizioSense. 

​

  • You are a team-player, with a strong taste for self improvement and sharing technical- and non-technical knowledge with your peers.

​

  • Remain up-to-date with the most relevant tools, technologies and academic works, continuously.

Who You are

  • Academic degree and background: Obtained or in the course of obtaining a Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field, e.g., Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Image Processing, or Robotics.

​

  • Strong understanding of Computer Vision concepts and technologies are mandatory.

​

  • Strong basics in software engineering are expected, Object-Oriented Programming and design, big O notation, code optimization and profiling.

​

  • Fluency in Python 3+ is expected.

  • Sound knowledge in theoretical and practical Deep Learning with prior experience with a mainstream Deep Learning framework (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, TensorFlow Lite, PyTorch Lightning).

​

  • Technical english is mandatory.

​

  • Other technical nice-to-haves: Familiar with MLOps practices, 2D and 3D data engineering, Neural Network optimization, C++, OpenCV, open3D, prior experience in IoT and/or embedded systems.

​
